BUILDING BRIDGES INFORMATION
April 25th is Building Bridges Spring Service Day. We are planning an amazing day for the body of Grace to go out and serve the needs of our community. And this year we are expanding the definition of “community” to include not just Howard County but beyond. We will also be partnering with and serving alongside ministries in Baltimore County and Baltimore City.
We have many different serving opportunities to fit lots of different levels of service. We’re excited, our partners are excited, and we hope you’ll be excited, too! What could be better than to see hundreds of Grace folks spreading out to serve and honor God?
Serve with your family, serve with your friends, or come alone and make new friends. Choose a project that best fits you and discover the blessings that come with blessing others.

Building Bridges Spring Service Day Opportunities:
Cedar Lane School “Walk for Our Stars”
Cedar Lane School, which provides for the special education needs of Howard County’s most severely disabled children, will hold its annual “Walk for Our Stars” beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Maple Lawn Community Center. We will serve as cheerleaders and supporters of the student walkers. We will meet at Grace first to make signs of support. Please feel free to bring pompoms or other cheering implements.
MetroKidz at Charm City Church
Metro Kidz is a youth ministry within Charm City Church in Southwest Baltimore City. Their mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ by serving and providing for various needs within the community. They also seek to encourage and facilitate the spiritual growth and development of youth, to help sharpen their abilities to own their own lives and destinies, and to break cycles of hatred, violence, and apathy.
Grace will partner with them for three different projects on April 25th:
We will be collecting specific food items to be sorted and delivered to the Howard County Food Bank. Volunteers are needed to sort through the donated items (dented cans, expired items or items without an expiration date will not be accepted at the Food Bank) and then deliver them to the Food Bank.
Grace Clothes Closet Clothing Drive and Sort
Collect and sort donated clothing at Grace that will be distributed to people in need.
